Nobody could have predicted the crazy weather we had on the 8th June 2019. With the bohemian style touches and their wedding day surrounded by family and friends, come rain or shine, Vanessa and Mark took it all in their stride and ended up with a wedding day to remember.

NOTES FROM THE BRIDE & GROOM
When searching for your Wedding venue what was most important to you?
We wanted somewhere with a relaxed feel and a little different. Plus we’re outdoorsy people so we were looking for somewhere with a great outdoor space.
Why did you choose your venue?
We chose it as it was really different to other things we had seen, and instantly fell in love with the building and setting. The indoor options (which we ended up needing) were also really special and had the relaxed natural feel we were after. We also had great confidence in the food from our experience at other Mother Love venues. Georgie was very welcoming and gave us confidence that our vision could be accomplished!
Talk us through your day?
The weather had slightly different plans to us so we had to adapt our plan at times!
Our ceremony started at 3pm but a sudden downpour meant this was delayed slightly by a move of everyone from outside to in- which was hilarious to watch as the bride! Our ceremony worked really well inside and had a cosy, intimate feel (especially with the rain coming down outside)!
Vanessa and Mark fell in love with our outdoor blessing area, they were adamant to hold out until the last possible moment. With that said, just before Vanessa was about to step out to walk down the aisle, the heavens opened and the guests swiftly grabbed their chairs and ran into our clubhouse. Despite the sudden downpour, the guests embraced the sudden change and the weather didn’t hamper the high spirits of the day. As the ceremony ended the sun burnt away the clouds and everyone was able to enjoy the drinks reception on our roof top terrace over looking the breath taking views of Penshurst.
The food was amazing and all the staff so friendly and attentive. A break in the rain allowed people to gather and get photos on the balcony, including some dramatic skies and a rainbow!
It was then time for the guests to take their seats in the Clubhouse and to announce the happy couple into their wedding breakfast. Guests enjoyed the panoramic views whilst indulging in a family sharing feast.
BEST PARTS OF THE DAY
The rooftop drinks reception, the sun came out and we were able to greet and chat to our guests with the amazing views as a backdrop.
Just before going in for dinner the two of us managed to walk the grounds and have some time to take it all in.
Our entrance to the dining room-it looked amazing and being cheered in by all our friends and family was brilliant fun.
The evening party, we didn't leave the dance floor and were surrounded by all our great friends and family having so much fun!
