• How long will you hold a provisional date?

We are happy to hold a date for 7 days.

  • How do we confirm a provisional booking?

A deposit of £3000 is required, payment preferably via bank transfer with your name and date of wedding as the reference.

  • What is the payment schedule?

Initial deposit of £3000 to confirm the booking, half the remaining balance to be paid six months before the wedding date and the final remaining balance to be settled one month before the date.  Any extra costs on the day to be settled on the day.

  • Does the price include VAT?

Yes the price is inclusive of VAT.

  • When is the best time to come in and sit down with the wedding planner?

We are happy to arrange a showround of our venue with you, at your convenience. Once your Wedding is confirmed, your coordinator will be on hand for planning meetings right up until your Wedding Day.

  • How do we book the ceremony?

We book the ceremony with Kent Registrars on your behalf and they then contact you directly to discuss all details including payment.   www.akentishceremony.com. If you are looking for an alternative ceremony with a celebrant, we can also help with this.

  • Do you have favoured suppliers?

We have a little black book of all our favoured suppliers.

  • Can we use a band in the Cabin instead of a DJ?

Yes, but we ask that you use our preferred suppliers.

  • Can we use our own suppliers?

Yes of course for cakes, flowers, photographers etc. We ask that the band or DJ used are from our preferred supplier list. We do not allow outside catering companies.

  • How much time will we have to set up beforehand?

Having discussed with your wedding planner beforehand to go through every detail with you and hand over the final table plan, decorations and anything else needed, then we will begin to set everything from the early hours of your wedding day.

  • What is the best time to have the ceremony?

We recommend a 2pm Ceremony, as this is when you have exclusive use of the venue from.

  • How long is the ceremony?

The ceremony generally takes about 30 minutes.

  • When do you require final numbers and dietary requirements?

Around one month prior to your Wedding Day, we will arrange a meeting where we will bring these details together.

  • Can we use confetti?

Yes, but we do ask that this is a natural petal only please.

  • Can we have fireworks at the end of the evening?

To not upset our neighbouring working farms, we do not allow fireworks. We do suggest sparklers on the terrace in the evening which makes for some beautiful photographs.

  • Do you have out of season deals?

Yes, our packages are priced based on the time of year and day of the week.

  • Do you offer tastings?

We offer a Menu & Wine Tasting at the start of the year that you are getting married. Your coordinator will be in touch when the dates are released for this.

  • Do you allow children?

We do allow children but ask that there is an adult responsbile for them at all times.

  • Do you offer children friendly food?

We do offer a little one’s menu for children under 12.

  • Do you have any parking?

Yes, we have a large car park where cars can be left overnight. We do ask that cars are picked up by 10am the following morning. 

  • Do you have accommodation?

Whilst we do not have accommodation onsite, we can arrange an overnight stay at our alternative property, The Beacon (subject to availablity), or help you find local hotels nearby.

  • What is the bad weather back up?

The Cabin is used as your wet weather Ceremony space.

  • What do we do with our gifts/envelopes?

We will set up an area for guests to leave gift & cards. We do reccomend that you ask for a member of the Wedding Party to take this with them at the end of the night, to keep it safe.

  • What time should the bar close at the end of the day?

The bar closes at 11.30pm with carriages by midnight.

  • Do you provide a microphone and speakers?

Yes, for speeches during the wedding breakfast.

 

  • We would like to organise a coach to drop off and collect our guests.  Can they get up the drive?

Yes, smaller coaches can however if it is a large coach the drop off and collection point for your guests will have to be at the bottom of the drive.

  • What time can we have access from?

From 2pm.

  • Do we have to have security?

Yes for Wedding receptions over 50 guests.
